FIRST is once again challenging our Community to help us #makeitloud! The #FIRSTParody competition was so awesome last year, we can't wait to see what you come up with this year! If you participated last year, we invite you to make a NEW video, and if you didn't join us last year – what are you waiting for?!
Overview:
We’re celebrating what makes FIRST FIRST! Tell us what makes your experience in our programs so amazing - with a song! Ultimately, we want to see awesome, high-quality song parody videos that embody the spirit of FIRST and our Progression of Programs . To see last year’s submissions, check out our playlist. If you haven’t seen it, make sure to watch last year’s winning parody video One Bot Can Change The World by Jordan Grant. He was even able to perform live at the 2016 FIRST Championship!
What is a song parody?
Parody music involves changing or copying existing (usually well known) musical ideas or lyrics, or copying the particular style of a composer or artist, or even a general style of music. Although the intention of a musical parody may be humor, it is the re-use of music that is the original defining feature. (Source: Wikipedia)
