Interested in Apple Camp?

Dec 21, 2015 Written by Michelle Long

We’re excited to let you know that FIRST has been offered the opportunity to nominate applicants for a camp hosted by Apple this summer. Details (and the application) are on our Alumni site, but here are some core nuggets:

  • 2016 Apple Engineering Technology Camp in CA from July 11 – Aug 5
  • Ultimately, Apple will admit 24 students
  • All travel/accommodation expenses paid
  • Open to current high school Sophomores (10) and Juniors (11)
  • To let us know you’re interested in being nominated, please complete our application to be considered
  • Application period for FIRST nominations closes at 11:59pm EST on January 4th
  • We’ve been asked to nominate students to apply (so, your application to us doesn’t guarantee admittance, nor does our nomination of you – there are a  few hurdles before a student is accepted and Apple will make the final call as to who’s in)

You know what I always say… apply, apply, apply!

Good luck!

Michelle, FIRST Alumni Programs Manager

It wood be a huge privilege to be selected to spend the summer with Apple.  I have had many experiences with Apple devices, from developing apps to teaching people how to use them properly.  I can't wait to expand my knowledge with the Apple ecosystem, and meet Apple engineers.

Thank you,

Vijay Tripathi

Apple and FIRST are much appreciated for this great opportunity for FRC students.

Nevertheless, keep in mind that this opportunity is open for US residents only.

Just wondering if it's possible to nominate students from NON American countries for that.

The GPA field is problematic for those that go to a high school which doesn't provide one. I inputted -1 for now.
