FIRST® Championship

Hosted by FIRST®, FIRST Championship is a culminating, international event for our youth robotics competition season and an annual celebration of STEM for our community. Qualification and advancement to participate in FIRST Championship varies by program.

Event & Houston Information

The 2026 FIRST Championship will take place April 29-May 2, 2026, at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston.

FIRST requires every FIRST Championship attendee to be registered and badged. Event registration grants access to participant-only activities and increases the security of the event. FIRST also partners with ConferenceDirect to bring teams, volunteers, and all attendees more than 150 FIRST-reviewed hotel location options. 

Coming soon, we'll share more information on what to expect at the 2026 FIRST Championship as you plan your visit, including registration, hotel accommodations, event guidance, and more about our host city of Houston.

2025-2026 Season

Program registration is open for our 2025-2026 robotics season, FIRST® AGE™ presented by Qualcomm, which challenges FIRST participants to work together to explore the role STEM skills play in the arts and bring their ideas to life.

The new season kicked off in August with the FIRST® LEGO® League challenge release, followed by FIRST® Tech Challenge in September and FIRST® Robotics Competition in January, and culminates in April with the 2026 FIRST Championship.
