If you haven’t yet had a chance, please review the 2019 safety manual.

And, we have our Winner and Runners-Up for the 2019 Safety Animation Award sponsored by UL!

The winning entry was from FIRST Robotics Competition Team 5348, Charger Robotics, from Cokato, Minnesota, USA. Check it out below:

We also had four runners-up:

FRC Team 846, The Funky Monkeys, from San Jose, California, USA

FRC Team 3100, Lightning Turtles, from Mendota Heights, Minnesota, USA

FRC Team 3941, Absolute Zero Electricity, from Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, USA

You can see the videos of the runners-up on the FRC safety page here.

A huge congratulations to our winner and runners-up! Great animations this year!

And to all FRC teams – please make safety part of your life every day. We’ve said it a hundred times, and we’ll say it again – nothing you are doing in FIRST is worth getting hurt over.

How many teams entered this years safety animation contest?

Hi Daisy!

Great question! We had more than 160 entries for the Safety Animation Award.

When is the winning animation announced? We remember seeing it for the first time at kickoff, but we can't find any information to back that up.

Hello!

We plan to announce the winner sometime around January 6, 2020.

Thanks!

Thank you! Where would we find that information on January 6th?

Hello!

We will post the winner on the Safety page, on this blog, and in the next available FIRST Robotics Competition Team blast.

Thanks!
