Woodie Flowers Celebration of Life

FIRST continues to get notes from people around the world about the incredible impact Woodie had on their lives. And just last Sunday, the Today show recognized him with a segment in which they said he had “a life well-lived.” He certainly did.

FIRST will continue to honor Woodie at a Celebration of Life to be held Monday, December 9, at 4 PM Eastern Time. You are invited to view the event broadcast live on FIRSTtv and to share your thoughts on social media using #WoodieFlowers. We also encourage you, if you are able, to gather your team together and watch as a group as we celebrate Woodie’s life and legacy as members of the FIRST family. If this time and day do not work for you, a recording of the event will be made available later.

We also will have some space for team members to join us in person for this event at Saint Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire, USA. Each 2020 registered or waitlisted team’s Lead Coach/Mentor 1 and 2 are being sent emails with instructions for requesting attendance in person. Each team will be allowed to request up to four tickets, and we are asking that no more than two of those tickets per team get used by adults to ensure students will be able to join the celebration as well. If we have more requests for tickets than we have space, we will have a lottery to determine which teams will receive them.

I truly hope you are able to join us, one way or another, for this very special event.

Frank
