CamperThe FIRST Robotics Community Center at Kettering University hosts Summer Robotics Camps for students in grades 1-12. The FIRST Robotics Community Center at Kettering University is a licensed FIRST Robotics center. The camps, which have been offered the past 2 years include FIRST LEGO League Jr., FIRST LEGO League, FIRST Tech Challenge and FIRST Robotics Competition camps, both day camps and residential camps are offered. Students will learn the design, assembly and programming phases for building a robot.

Examples include:FIRST Kettering Campers

  • FIRST LEGO League – Mission to Space / Mission to Space Advanced
  • FIRST Tech Challenge – FIRST Tech Challenge Android Studio JAVA Programming / FIRST Tech Challenge Game Challenge
  • FIRST Robotics Competition– Soccer Game Challenge / Hockey Game Challenge / Ring It Up Game Challenge /Autonomous Programming

These camps will enhance student’s knowledge of robotics. When students return to work on their respective teams, they will have a much better understanding of the systems (chassis, drive-train, electrical and programming) and be able to engage and lead development and build of the robot.
