FIRST Leadership Award Interviewer
As a FIRST Leadership Award Interviewer for FIRST Tech Challenge, you’ll engage directly with inspiring student leaders, conducting thoughtful interviews and providing insights that help identify exceptional candidates for the FIRST Leadership Award Finalist selection. This rewarding role offers a unique opportunity to support and celebrate students who exemplify the values of FIRST.
Volunteer as a FIRST Leadership Award Interviewer
FIRST Tech Challenge Only
The FIRST Leadership Award Interviewer is responsible for interviewing the FIRST Leadership Award semi-finalist(s) and writes notes for each student. This rewarding role offers a unique opportunity to support and celebrate students who exemplify the values of FIRST.
Minimum Age: 18 years old (must be post-high school or equivalent)
- Exceptions may be granted by event Volunteer Coordinators after review and approval by the local Program Delivery Partner
Experience: No FIRST or Related Field Experience required
Training: Some pre-event training required
- Access through FIRST Training
Role Details:
- 6-to-10-minute interview that will take place remotely
- Interviewers spend time reviewing the student’s nomination before the interview takes place.
- Interviewers are tasked with writing up feedback about the student following the interview and entering their notes into the Judges Portal
- Must read and comply with the Volunteer Handbook
