FIRST Leadership Award Reviewer

As a FIRST Leadership Award Reviewer for FIRST Tech Challenge, you’ll help recognize and elevate outstanding student leaders by thoughtfully reviewing nominations and interview notes to select regional finalists. This impactful role supports the growth of future STEM leaders and celebrates the values at the heart of the FIRST community. 

Volunteer as a FIRST Leadership Award Reviewer

FIRST Tech Challenge Only

The FIRST Leadership Award Reviewer is responsible for reviewing FIRST Leadership Award nominations and interviewer notes to decide which 2 - 4 students (typically) from a region will move to the next level of FIRST Leadership Award Finalist. This impactful role supports the growth of future STEM leaders and celebrates the values at the heart of the FIRST community.

Minimum Age: 18 years old (must be post-high school or equivalent)

  • Exceptions may be granted by event Volunteer Coordinators after review and approval by the local Program Delivery Partner

Experience: No FIRST or Related Field Experience required

Training: Some pre-event training required

  • Access through FIRST Training

Role Details:

  • Uses the Applicants written nomination and the notes from the FIRST Leadership Award Interview session to help select the FIRST Leadership Award Finalists
  • Must read and comply with the Volunteer Handbook

Reports to: Program Delivery Partner and Volunteer Coordinator
