Volunteer as a Scoring League Admin

FIRST Tech Challenge Only

The FIRST Tech Challenge Scoring League Admin role exists to assist the Program Delivery Partner with specific league’s administrative tasks within the FIRST Tech Challenge Scoring System. Most of this work is done before the event and does not typically require attendance at the event. Ideal for organized, tech-comfortable volunteers. This role helps ensure everything from team data to judging schedules are set-up before the event.

Minimum Age: 18 years old (must be post-high school or equivalent)

• Exceptions may be granted by event Volunteer Coordinators after review and approval by the local Program Delivery Partner

Experience: Either FIRST or Related Field Experience required

Training: Some pre-event training required

• Access through FIRST Training

Role Details:

• Works closely with the Event Director, Volunteer Coordinator, Judge Advisor, Program Delivery Partner, and other members of the event planning committee 
• Responsible for the online configuration of the League and League Events before the events start which can include adding teams and sponsors
• Managing event schedules, including opening/closing ceremonies, and assigning Judges and the Judge Advisor in FIRST Tech Challenge Scoring, as needed
• Add and distribute links for virtual judging sessions
• May be responsible for transferring event data to the scorekeeper/scoring laptop
• Must read and comply with the Volunteer Handbook

Reports to: Program Delivery Partner or Event Director
