Team Registration
Team Registration volunteers are the welcoming faces of the event, greeting teams, checking rosters, and distributing essential event materials. This role helps set the tone for the day and ensures teams are ready to compete.
Volunteer as a Team Registration Volunteer
FIRST LEGO League Challenge Only
Team Registration volunteers help check in teams at the beginning of the event and provide them with information and materials for the day. This role also involves giving directions, distributing team packets, and answering questions. Volunteers in this role must be friendly, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a busy environment during the event’s early hours.
Recommended Minimum Age: 18 years old
Experience: No FIRST or related field experience required
Training: Some pre-event and on-site training required
- Training required through FIRST Training
- Includes Data Privacy and Protection Training
- On-site orientation provided by Pit Administrator or Event Leadership
Role Details / Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in teams as they arrive at the event
- Provide logistical support and assistance to coaches and adult chaperones
- Help teams navigate the venue, find their pit stations, and begin their day
- Distribute registration packets or materials to team representatives
- Provide directions and answer event-related questions
- Maintain a calm and efficient registration flow during busy arrival periods
- May assist with event signage, materials distribution, or venue information
- Support setup and takedown of the registration area
- Collaborate with Volunteer Coordinator or Pit Administrator as needed
- Must read and comply with the Volunteer Handbook
