A huge congratulations to all our teams this year. You overcame extraordinary difficulties just to participate!

And a special congratulations to our two newest Hall of Fame Teams! The Chairman’s Award is the most prestigious award at FIRST and honors the team that best represents a model for other teams to emulate and best embodies the mission of FIRST. The work these teams have done is so amazing and we are proud to welcome them to the Hall of Fame. Please help us congratulate our Championship-level Chairman’s Award Winners.

Yesterday, we hosted an awards show announcing the FIRST Global Innovation Award Winners. We hope you found these projects as inspiring as our judges did! Congratulations for hard work done well!

FIRST Global Innovation Awards Winner

  • Team 5553, Robo’Lyon, Rhone, France for their innovation Walk Assistant, which assists patients suffering from Parkinson’s Disease.


  • Team 8, Paly Robotics, Palo Alto, CA, USA for their innovation SightWalk, a visual assistance and sidewalk navigation device that helps visually impaired individuals.
  • Team 5940, B.R.E.A.D., Redwood City, CA, USA for their innovation Ciculatio, compression shorts that reduce the pain of menstrual cramps during physical activity.

  • Team 3792, Army Ants, Columbia, MO, USA for their innovation SPOCKS (Sensor Platform for Orthopedic Compliance after Knee Surgery), which supports recovery after knee replacement surgery.
