Volunteer as an Attendee Registration Assistant

FIRST Championship Only

Attendee Registration Assistants for FIRST Championship work under the direction of the Volunteer Resource Department staff at the Registration Desk. This role works in tandem with conference coordination staff to register attendees and provide event badges and ribbons. Attendees include teams, spectators, sponsors, staff, volunteers, vendors, and more. This person must be customer service orientated, reliable to show up on time, and prepared to be the face of FIRST while welcoming attendees to FIRST Championship with Gracious Professionalism^®.

Minimum Age: 18 years old

Experience: Both FIRST and Related Field Experience required

Training: Significant pre-event training required

• Volunteers will be invited to a video call training including an introduction to the Stream Point registration system, custom resources, and the Event Guide ahead of the event for preparation and training.
• Volunteers will be required to take Data Privacy and Protection Training in FIRST Training.

Role Details:

• Welcomes attendees.
• Distribute event badges and ribbons.
• Provide additional swag when necessary.
• Assist with stocking supplies.
• Answer Questions.
• Knowledge of FIRST not required but preferred.
• Friendly personality.
• Able to take direction and follow through.
• Self-directed individual.
• Strong communication skills.
• Must read and comply with the Volunteer Handbook

Time Commitment:

• Volunteers are needed Tuesday – Saturday.
• Shifts are 5 - 6 hours long and include a break for a meal.

• Direct supervision: FIRST Staff from the Volunteer Resources Department
• Secondary Supervision: FIRST Staff
