Safety Animation Award sponsored by UL

We have posted information about the Safety Animation Award sponsored by our friends at UL. Check it out here. You will see we have placed an emphasis this year on preventing hand injuries. The animation you submit does not need to be only about hand injuries, but please include that facet of safety as one element. Hand injuries are among the most common we see at events, and we need your help in raising awareness and hopefully reducing their frequency!

The deadline for submission is Friday, December 6, 2018, at 3 PM Eastern Time.

Who would have seen that one coming? But be sure to check out the details of the award. “Space” can have many interpretations within the context of this award.

We’ve seen some wonderful and entertaining submissions over the years for this award; we’re looking forward to seeing more!

The deadline for submission is Thursday, January 24, 2019, at 11:59 PM Eastern Time.

Wild Cards for the 2019 FIRST Championship

Just in case you were wondering, for 2019 we will be continuing the recent practice of all Regional events automatically generating one Wild Card slot in addition to those that would have normally been generated according to the Wild Card rules. See the details here. We make this decision to keep this additional Wild Card year to year as we review FIRST Championship capacity and the estimated number of teams we’ll have earning their way there.
