Power Cube Covers

As we noted in this blog teams are facing challenges getting Power Cube parts. The most pervasive issue being there’s a shortage on the game piece covers.

Today, we have posted instructions about how teams may create their own. You can find the instructions and drawings here, under the link to the ‘Arcade’ section of the manual. Please note that the covers created using these instructions are close to the official covers, but not identical to them.

If you read the instructions, not only will you learn how to make game piece covers, but you’ll also learn what “pinking shears” are.

Thanks to Deb Merrick, Mentor for FIRST Robotics Competition Team 4546, Shockwave, from Dover, New Hampshire, USA, for the crate cover instructions.

Award Submission Deadlines

Submissions for the Chairman’s and Woodie Flowers Awards are due February 8. This means this is the last weekend you will have to work on them! Submissions for the Dean’s List and Entrepreneurship Awards are due February 15th. Only two weekends left!

Full details, including deadline times, are here.

Late submissions will not be accepted. And as we’ve said many times, the best way to make sure you are on time is to plan to be early. This way, if something unexpected happens, you have time to recover before the deadline has passed.
