A New Event and the Founder’s Reception

A New Regional Event
As we said in this blog post, we were anticipating one additional Regional event in Turkey this season. I’m excited to announce that the new event, the Mersin Regional, is happening in 2023! The event will be available for teams to include in their second round of event preference selections. Thank you to the entire Fikret Yüksel Foundation team for continuing to grow access to FIRST® in Turkey!
The Founder’s Reception
After a two-year hiatus, we’re also excited to bring back the Founder’s Reception on Friday, January 6, 2023. This event, which is the night before the FIRST® Robotics Competition Kickoff, is hosted at WestWind, the home of FIRST Founder Dean Kamen (in Bedford, New Hampshire).
Each registered FIRST Robotics Competition team is allowed two adult attendees, who can register for the reception via the FIRST Dashboard beginning Noon ET on October 6. Registration for the event closes on December 15 at Noon ET.
