2021 FIRST Robotics Competition Registration Pricing Structure and Payment Terms

These Payment terms apply to all FIRST Robotics Competition Teams except for Teams registering in the FIRST Israel (ISR) District, the FIRST Ontario (ONT) District, and the Pacific Northwest (PNW) District. 

  • Teams registering in the FIRST Israel (ISR) District, should see the FIRST Israel website for payment terms, fees, and payment due dates.
  • Teams registering in the FIRST Ontario (ONT) District, should see the FIRST Robotics Canada website for payment terms, fees, and payment due dates.
  • Teams registering in the Pacific Northwest (PNW) District, should see the Washington FIRST Robotics website for payment terms, fees, and payment due dates.

Registration for Regional and District Teams includes: Participation in Game Design Challenge, FIRST Innovation Challenge presented by Qualcomm, INFINITE RECHARGE At Home Challenge, the FIRST Robotics Competition Kickoff Kit, associated materials and support.

Registration for Regional and District Teams does not include any in-person Game Play events.  Pricing and Payment terms will be updated if those events are made available later this season.

FIRST will continue to work with teams on an individual basis after the Payment Due Date to help them make their payment. Missing the Payment Due Date does not mean teams have missed their chance to participate in the upcoming season but may lead to them getting their Kit of Parts late and having less opportunity to get the most popular FIRST Choice items.

**Veteran: Any team that has played in 2018 or later, or otherwise not classified as a Rookie

All Registration Fees are payable in U.S. Dollars only.

 

Registration:

When the Main Contact for your team chooses an event online, the Team Registration System will give you the option to print out an invoice for that event. The system will also allow you to print a form for any event the team has requested to attend via the Events screen. Please go through Team Registration System to view your team's information.

Payment Policy: *All acceptable forms of payment received by FIRST Finance must be submitted with the Invoice showing the team number and which fee the payment should be applied to.

Letters must state your FIRST Robotics Competition team number and event to be properly credited.

FIRST Finance will accept a commitment letter from a Grantor or Corporate Sponsor. The commitment letter must be on their letterhead and signed by the individual who is taking the responsibility for guaranteeing that payment is made to FIRST.

All Commitment letters must provide FIRST with the address and phone # of a contact to verify funds. FIRST Finance will work directly with Grantor or Sponsor if needed.

FIRST cannot accept a commitment letter from a School or a School District. A Purchase Order must be provided as guarantee of payment.

    

REFUND POLICY

Registration Fees are only refundable if (i) the refund request is submitted to and acknowledged by FIRST Operations (customerservice@firstinspires.org) before the Team receives the Kickoff Kit, and (ii) the Team refuses receipt of the Kickoff Kit if it has been shipped from FIRST.  Once a Team receives the Kickoff Kit, the Team’s Registration Fee becomes non-refundable. There are no exceptions to this regardless of reason, and this applies even if the FIRST Robotics Competition season is canceled in part or in whole.
