2021 Season Volunteer Roles

Please note that FIRST has decided that there will be no official in-person 2021 INFINITE RECHARGE game play events during the regular season. The following are event volunteer roles available for the 2021 FIRST Robotics Competition Season without in-person play. Each role links to the role description that includes responsibilities and any experience that is needed. To see roles that are available for a typical season, please scroll to the bottom of the page. For a complete list of volunteer role descriptions for the 2021 FIRST Robotics Competition season please view this document: FIRST Robotics Competition Volunteer Role Descriptions

If you would like to volunteer for a FIRST event, sign up or login on the Dashboard to apply. All volunteers must be screened as part of the FIRST Youth Protection Program. Volunteers can search for the events by selecting “Event volunteers” and then filtering to the “FIRST Robotics Competition” events. If interested in helping with one of the At Home Challenges, judges can type the name of the challenge into the search bar. If interested in helping with the traditionally submitted awards, judges can type the name of the region, as shown in this blog, in the search bar. Please note that all events are remote and have FIRST HQ as the address so filtering using the location will not give you the correct events.

Typical Volunteer Paths

These visuals are a quick snapshot that outlines some of the FIRST Robotics Competition Volunteer Paths. Please remember that your path may vary and volunteering in one role does not directly lead to you volunteering in the next role. Consult with your local Volunteer Coordinator to establish a plan that works best for you.
